Greetings, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. Additionally, I completed a 2 year post graduate certificate program in Couples and Family Counseling.
I am the Executive Director of the Denver Family Institute which is a not-for-profit in Denver Colorado which offers advanced training in Marriage and Family therapy to post-graduate students. The Denver family Institute also has a therapy clinic which offers quality strength-based therapy at a sliding scale rate to couples, families and individuals.
In addition I operate a private practice in both Denver and Longmont, Colorado. I offer assistance to individuals, couples and families five days a week.
I have worked in mental health for over 9 years. I began my journey in the field at the University of Colorado at Boulder; I graduated with a double major in Geography and Psychology. I then went on to assist people with developmental disabilities to better access their community and to find meaning and purpose through employment and community involvement. Later, I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado.
After receiving my Master’s Degree, I offered therapy to children and their families at a school located within a Community Mental Health Center. I chose to further my specialization in Couples and Family Therapy by attending and graduating from a two year AAMFT approved post-graduate certificate program in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Denver Family Institute. At the Denver Family Institute I offered therapy in one of the school’s therapy rooms while being mentored by a handful of wonderful and talented senior family therapists.
I am passionate about helping people to find balance and satisfaction in their relationships. In my aspiration to be as helpful as I can to my clients, I have chosen to continually seek out opportunities to learn more about the art and science of healing.
